Local AIA Awards

Each year, AIA components across Texas recognize exemplary work through their local design awards. Taken together, these programs offer a broad view of the architecture being produced across the state. The following presents a selection of recent winners from programs in communities large and small, from Amarillo and the Lower Rio Grande Valley to Austin, Dallas, Houston, and San Antonio. While not an exhaustive survey of every component awards program, the highlighted winners reflect the range of scales, building types, approaches, and places shaping architecture in Texas today.

Together, these award-winning projects reveal the breadth of architectural practice in Texas. They reflect distinct local conditions, offering snapshots of the communities architects serve, while contributing to a larger conversation about architecture across the state.
