Richard Sternadori, Assoc. AIA
Richard Sternadori, M.A. ARCH, M. ED, Assoc. AIA, CBO, CRC, ACTCP retired in 2025 from the University of Missouri Department of Architectural Studies, Great Plains ADA Center. He holds a Master of Arts/Architecture and a Master of Education in counseling psychology with the focus on disability rehabilitation. Previously, Sternadori served 15 years as a chief building official. He is currently the US chair of the ICC A118 Acoustics for the Built Environment Committee (ICC A-118 ABEC), developing new code standards in the US and Canada for people with deafness and hearing impairments. Sternadori is a published author and consultant in issues of accessible design, the Americans with Disabilities Act, multifamily housing, and more. He is a preferred provider of education with the ICC and with the American Institute of Architects (AIA) for continuing education credits for licensed architects.
