Expanding a 1930s Bungalow for a Modern Family
Noel Kuwabara serves as architecture faculty at San Antonio College, where she incorporates her knowledge of urban design theory into teaching. A native Washingtonian, Noel came to Texas by way of UT Austin, where she earned her Master of Science in Urban Design. After earning a Bachelor of Architecture from Syracuse University, she began practicing in Baltimore, where she met her husband, Ko, volunteering for Architecture for Humanity. Noel has been a licensed architect in the state of Texas for over 10 years and has practiced both architecture and urban design in cities ranging from Washington DC, Tokyo, Austin, and San Antonio. Outside of practice, Noel enjoys learning Japanese, raising her three beautiful children, and cheering on the Spurs.
