Lauren Woodward Stanley, AIA, brings together design, writing, art, advocacy, civic and academic engagement, and community service in an architectural practice rooted in context and layered disciplines. She is joint owner and director of Stanley Studio, an Austin design practice, with Lars Stanley, FAIA, since 2005. Their architecture studio and metal arts shop produce recognized work at a range of scales and types—civic, institutional, residential, public art, furnishings, and green infrastructure—with a focus on land health, low-impact construction, crafted detail, material expression, and human connection. A UT Austin M.Arch graduate, Woodward Stanley cut her teeth at notable Seattle design firms, returning to Austin with a strong ethic in site-building integration. Her passion for urban health and ecological resilience steers ongoing professional involvement at the city level.
