These new window and door options advance industry standards in terms of functionality, dimension, impact-resistance, or thermal performance.

Pivot Door System
Simpson Door Company

Simpson’s extra-large Pivot Door System can be custom-made to span heights up to 10 feet and widths up to 5 feet. The door easily rotates around a pivot hinge as an inswing door unit with the touch of a finger. An alternative to traditional assemblies, the door comes with a multipoint locking system to keep it straight and secure, oversized door pulls, and weather stripping on all sides, including an integrated drop seal at the bottom. As the door’s functionality is fully incorporated into the door, jamb, and sill, no special sub-floor or job site prep are required.

VistaLuxe WD LINE
Kolbe

Kolbe has expanded the VistaLuxe collection of impact-performance products with a selection of impact-certified windows and doors from the VistaLuxe WD LINE. The WD LINE offers wood-and-aluminum-clad casements, awnings, direct sets, and outswing doors that achieve IPD3 certification, as well as complementary folding and sliding doors that achieve IPD4 certification. Kolbe’s impact-certified products are designed to improve air, water, structural, or sound transmittance ratings without the need for unsightly brackets or visible rods to hold the sash in place.

White Oak Species
Andersen Windows & Doors

White oak is now available as a standard interior wood species option on Andersen’s E-series windows and patio doors. Factory finishes include a clear coat option to achieve a neutral, natural wood for contemporary residential interiors. E-Series products are available in 50 standard exterior colors, plus custom colors to match any design. Aluminum-clad construction offers narrow profiles and protection from the outside elements.

VUE Collection
Weather Shield

The VUE Collection of all-aluminum windows and patio doors provides ultra-narrow profiles and large spans of glass to seamlessly connect modern living spaces with the outdoors. The modular frame system features some of the narrowest profiles available, with direct-set windows a slim, 1 3/8-inch offset to the visible glass, and multi-slide door stiles only 2 1/2 inches wide at the interlocks. Available in heights up to 12 feet, VUE’s hinged patio door panels (shown) swing from heavy-duty hinges that are adjustable in every direction to help create a tight seal.

LaCantina V2 Folding Door
Jeld-Wen

The LaCantina V2 folding door product delivers oversized 4-by-12-foot panels, concealed handles, hidden hinges, and automatic locks. The folding door significantly reduces stile width, improving the view to the exterior and allowing for more natural daylight. While designers have traditionally been limited by the size of the folding door panels, V2 folding doors expand the maximum panel height from 10 to 12 feet, eliminating the need for fixed glass, picture windows, and transoms. V2 also expands panel width from 3 to 4 feet, meaning fewer panels are needed to fill an opening.

UniVent 1375AW Series
Tubelite

Tubelite’s new UniVent 1375AW Series Therml=Block windows include project-out awnings and casements and project-in hoppers and casements, all which can accommodate dual-pane insulating glass units. These operable windows are engineered to seamlessly integrate within mid-to-high-rise commercial buildings’ storefront and curtain wall systems, offering natural ventilation and increased fresh air exchange. The aluminum-framed windows are thermally broken and insulated with polyamide strut, further contributing to high-performance, energy-efficient building envelopes. The 2 3/4-inch-deep window frame spans up to 72 by 36 inches for hoppers and up to 36 by 62 inches for casements.
