Mide O. Akinsade, AIA, NOMA, is an award-winning architect renowned for his design vision and urban advocacy. As design director at the Houston studio of Perkins&Will, Mide champions the firm’s Living Design framework—an initiative that ensures all projects meet the highest standards of design excellence, promoting innovation, rigor, and beauty. He has led multiple award-winning projects globally, in sectors ranging from corporate commercial, to healthcare, to science and technology. Active in the architectural community, Mide is a lecturer at The University of Maryland School of Architecture, former member of the Board of Directors for the AIA D.C. Chapter, and co-founder of the Texas Chapter of the Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat—a non-profit focused on sustainable, densified, healthy urban growth.
