Maya Shamir is a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin, where she majored in architecture and minored in history. She is currently pursuing her master of design studies at the Harvard Graduate School of Design. Previously she worked at Civilian Projects in Brooklyn, Murray Legge Architecture in Austin, and Peterson Rich Office in Brooklyn. Shamir is interested in adaptive reuse and preservation. She does the crossword (almost) every morning.
