PlayCubes by Richard Dattner Playworld playworld.com Playworld, a designer and manufacturer of commercial playground equipment for parks, schools, and urban landscapes, has partnered with New York City-based architect Richard Dattner, FAIA, to reintroduce an iconic design of his from the 1960s. Called PlayCubes, the sculptural forms and distinctive geometric shapes encourage exploration and open-ended play for children. The cubes and slide are made of LLDPE (linear low-density polyethylene) plastic with aluminum floor casting and stainless steel hardware. The first installation, shown here, is at Boston’s Chinatown Park on the Rose Kennedy Greenway.

In standing height, the Big Table encourages casual interaction, supports collaborative work, and gives users the choice of sitting or standing. The table is also available without the canopy, in a dining height.

Cirque Series Kornegay Design kornegaydesign.com Phoenix-based Kornegay Design makes fine, hand-cast concrete planters and furnishings in a range of colors. The company’s latest design is the Cirque Series of outdoor waste receptacles and planters. The Cirque Series round waste receptacle features 24 vertical facets and a clear powder-coated spun aluminum lid. It is 34.5-in. tall and comes with a 32-gallon plastic waste can. The matching planter is a round architectural landscape container with 24 vertical facets that is available in 30-in., 34.5-in., and 44-in.-tall sizes.

Rincon Pedestrian Lighting Forms+Surfaces forms-surfaces.com Rincon pedestrian lighting is now available with perforated stainless steel directional shields in standard and custom designs. Rincon blends a minimalist form, stainless steel construction, and Cree LEDs with new directional shields that can be specified for up to all four sides of the fixture to accommodate site-specific light direction requirements. Four perforation designs are standard and match those available for the Rincon Bollard. The fixtures are also available without directional shields for full 360-degree illumination.

One of their latest products is Chair 483, an outdoor steel cafe chair available with or without armrests.
