• meet advocacy team 2025

Texas Society of Architects is the only organization who advocates for architects at the state level, working to share the voice of architects with state regulators and agencies, look out for your state license, and overall policies that affect the practice of architecture.

TxA’s advocacy work is a collaborative effort among our members, supported by the Government Affairs Steering Committee, which makes recommendations to the TxA Executive Committee and Board. Our staff advocacy team includes EVP/CEO Jennifer Briggs, CAE; Director of Government Affairs & Advocacy Becky Walker; Government Affairs Associate Caitlyn Alexander; and contract lobbyist Kathy Grant.

Becky, Caitlyn, and Kathy will be leading the Society’s advocacy efforts during the 89th Texas Legislative Session, lobbying the Texas Legislature on behalf of the profession.
